After becoming pregnant with my third child on some days I would put the kids in front of the TV while I took my daily nap. Now when it is time for my nap the kids are asking, “Hey Mom, can we do our Preschool Activities instead of watching TV?” What a blessing the activities have been for me. My 12-year-old daughter put the Preschool Activities into a handy carry along tub to take with her on her baby-sitting jobs. When she shows up to baby-sit, both the parents and kids she's baby-sitting for are especially happy to see her! The kids can't wait to get some of the activities out of the tub, and it makes the parent to baby-sitter transition so much easier. The parents are so impressed and pleased with the activities, knowing that while they're away their children will not only be entertained, but also learning while they play. I organized a group of moms from our church and we each did one preschool activity. We were able to have a social swap and explain and show our activities. Even though I do not have kids of my own, I had a lot of fun participating in a swap. Then I sent the Activity Bags along with a book to my best friend in Washington. She called the day she received the box, and was so excited about the gift. She said her kids were already doing the activities and loving them. As a home-schooling Mom of seven, these bags have been lifesavers. With a preschooler and kindergartner to keep busy it has been such a blessing to pull out one of the activities and watch them keep occupied and engaged for significant periods of time. Life is busy, and the commitment to do a swap can seem overwhelming at first. However, it really doesn't end up being as time consuming as you think, and that investment is completely worth it. I did the Activity Bag Swap from the boards, and they are wonderful. I mean wonderful. You would not BELIEVE how much work these ladies put into their bags! So many of them not only followed directions, but added their own personal flare and flavor, and many of them strived for durability, with laminating, using well made pieces, or cardstock. A friend came over yesterday and was amazed at how nice they are! ~ Sandra D
